Location & Transport

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is located on the banks of the iconic Yarra River in South Wharf.

To ensure your day out at the PBC Expo goes as smoothly as possible, we have published information supplied to us by the venue on the best ways to get to the MCEC.

This information can sometimes change, so any updates will be posted to our Facebook Event Wall.

Travelling by car

Here are the car parking options available, within walking distance to the MCEC...

MELBOURNE EXHIBITION CENTRE PARKING: 1,060 undercover parking spaces available in Wilson Carpark beneath the Exhibition Centre. Entrance and exit off Normanby Road. Open 24 hours. 


SIDDELEY STREET PARKING: 696 car spaces, located on the corner of Siddeley & Flinders Streets, Docklands. 5 minute walk to MCEC. Open 24 hours.

FREEWAY PARKING: Located at Munro Street under the Westgate Bridge. You can access this car park via Normanby Road and Munro Street.

DFO SOUTH WHARF PARKING: Multi-level car park with 1,150 spaces. Entrance off Convention Centre Place or Munro Street. Open 24 hours.

CROWN PARKING: Over 5,000 spaces across two car parks. 8 minute walk to MCEC.

Travelling by public transport

Catch any of the following trams and get off at the stop opposite the Clarendon Street entrance of MCEC:

  • Route 96 – St Kilda to East Brunswick
  • Route 109 – Port Melbourne to Box Hill
  • Route 12 – Victoria Gardens to St Kilda

Alternatively, tram numbers 48 or 70 stop at the end of Flinders Street. From there, take a short up Clarendon Street towards the Yarra River and cross the Seafarers Bridge. For further tram timetable information and trip planning, visit the Victorian Public Transport website here.

Take any train that goes to Southern Cross Station. Get off at Southern Cross Station, exit onto Spencer Street and catch tram numbers 96, 109 or 12 as above, to stop 124a, which stops opposite the Exhibition Centre entrance of the MCEC. The SkyBus transports visitors directly from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross train station.

Bus route 237 operates from Queen Victoria Market, via Southern Cross Station to Lorimer Street South Wharf from Monday to Friday. Lormier Street is approximately a five minute walk to MCEC. There is also a coach pick up/drop off point at Bay 1, Convention Centre Place (closest to DFO South Wharf).
